"Sri Subraya Vishnumurthy Navooreshwara Temple" is located in Navoor village in Bantwal taluk of Dakshina Kannada district. Jagadguru is the home of Navoor Narayana, who was revived by the footsteps of Sri Madhvacharya.When Shri Sode Vadirajitheertha with his disciple Shri VedaVedi Tirtha visited Navoor Agrahara, Sri Vedanta went to the Netravati River for a bath. Due to the lack of water flow in the river, they used their magic wand across the river. When the Nandavara kings came to the Navoor Agrahara Math and prayed to Sri Vadiraja Tirtha, the Vadiraja thunders were cleared to allow water to flow.
